How much is pressure washing in Horley, and can you come today?

The short answer: pressure washing in Horley (RH6) starts at £3 per square metre for patios, £4 for driveways and decking, £5 for block paving with re-sanding included, and £8 for render soft washing, £80 minimum. Same Day JetWash is based in Redhill, ten minutes up the A23, so RH6 gets genuine same-day and next-day slots, with a callback inside 2 hours. Call 01737 652 515.

Pressure washing in Horley covers more than the drive. We pre-treat the moss and algae, machine-wash hard surfaces with a rotary surface cleaner, hand-lance the edges, then deal with the aftermath: weeds out, block-paving joints re-sanded with kiln dried sand, render and painted walls soft washed at low pressure so the finish is never blasted, and every bit of slurry bagged and taken away. Driveway, patio, block paving, render, decking, one crew, one visit.

Key facts: pressure washing in Horley (RH6)

  • From £3/m² for patios, £4/m² for driveways and decking, £5/m² for block paving and £8/m² for render, in line with our published price list. £80 minimum charge.
  • Re-sanding with kiln dried sand is included on every block paving clean, and the RH6 estates are wall-to-wall block paving.
  • Heavy moss, lichen or commuter oil staining can add up to 50%, the same uplift our cost calculator uses.
  • Horley sits on flat, low-lying Weald Clay, mapped by the British Geological Survey[1], so drives and patios here hold their damp and green over faster than the free-draining chalk up at Banstead.
  • No hosepipe ban here: there is no ban in force across Surrey as of 9 July 2026, and professional pressure washing is generally exempt anyway. More in our hosepipe ban guide.

Pressure washing prices in Horley (RH6)

Real ranges, no “from £19” nonsense that turns into £90 on the doorstep. The table below is built from the same rates as our pricing page and cost calculator, applied to the surfaces and property sizes we actually see around Horley.

Surface From (per m²) Typical Horley job Typical price
Driveway (tarmac / concrete)£4Older Meath Green forecourt, 20–30m²£80–£120
Block paving (re-sand included)£5Typical 50m² Westvale Park or Langshott drive£200–£250
Patio (sandstone / porcelain / slate)£3Rear-garden patio, 20–35m²£80–£150

Decking (wood / composite)£4Garden deck, 15–25m²£80–£120

£80 minimum on every job. Heavy moss, oil staining or years without a clean can add up to 50% for the extra pre-treatment and time. On the biggest drives the m² rate eases, and bundling two surfaces on one visit is cheaper than two callouts, ask when we quote. Want it pinned down now? Try the cost calculator or send a photo.

Why Horley surfaces get dirty, and how the estates change the job

Horley sits on flat, low-lying Weald Clay, the heavy, slow-draining substrate the British Geological Survey maps under the whole town[1]. Clay holds water where chalk lets it drain away, so the valley air stays damp and damp is exactly what moss and algae want. Drive up to the North Downs and drives dry out between showers; down here on the Weald the shaded half of a drive or the north-facing patio greens over first, every time. The Environment Agency also maps surface-water flood pockets through central Horley, the Burstow Stream corridor and out toward Smallfield[2], which is why we bund the rinse and dispose to foul drains on the lower-lying streets rather than flushing degreaser into a gully. What that means surface by surface:

  • Block paving on the new estates. Westvale Park off Bonehurst Road (1,510 homes going up under Crest Nicholson, Persimmon, Taylor Wimpey and A2Dominion) and The Acres at Langshott (710 Barratt and David Wilson homes) are almost entirely block paving. The joints are the weak point: sand washes out, weeds and moss move in, and the whole drive looks tired even where the bricks are sound. We wash, kill the weeds and re-sand with kiln dried sand as standard. More on our block paving cleaning page.
  • Concrete and tarmac on the older streets. Meath Green (once Moy Grene, some of the oldest homes in Horley, most rebuilt from the late 1950s) and the terraces near the station mostly have small concrete or tarmac forecourts. Quick jobs, usually at or near the £80 minimum, and the difference between grey-black and original colour is startling.
  • Patios out the back. Sandstone, porcelain and slate patios on the newer developments pick up black spot and slippery algae in the damp Weald air. We treat and wash them at a pressure the stone can take, then rinse the residue away.
  • Render and decking. Painted and silicone render on the town-centre semis wants a soft wash, not a jet, so we run low pressure and biocide. Timber and composite decking gets the algae stripped off before it turns into a winter slip hazard.
  • Commuter oil staining. Horley is a commuter town wrapped around a mainline station and Gatwick, so company-car oil drips are the single most common “not-just-moss” problem on RH6 drives. We pre-treat oil before the surface cleaner goes anywhere near it, so it lifts rather than grinding in.

Streets and neighbourhoods we cover

All of RH6 is a short hop for us: central Horley, the Westvale Park, Langshott and Meath Green estates, plus Hookwood, Charlwood, Smallfield, Weatherhill and the Salfords edge, and the Gatwick-area commercial forecourts, airport hotels and B&Bs. Ten minutes up the A23 and we’re back on our home patch in Redhill (RH1), and we cover the rest of Surrey within 20 miles. See everything we clean in Horley, and while we’re at your place it’s worth bundling: fascia, soffit and cladding cleaning in Horley if the uPVC has gone green and streaky is cheaper on the same visit than a second callout.

Why quotes vary between two Horley drives

Two RH6 drives the same size can be £100 apart, and the reasons are boring but real: surface type, condition, access, and whether re-sanding or sealing is in scope. A brand-new Westvale Park block-paved drive with washed-out joints is a different job to an oil-stained tarmac forecourt off the station, even at the same square metreage. Anyone quoting a flat “any driveway £60” is cutting one of those corners, the maths doesn’t work otherwise. If your drive only needs doing every couple of years, that’s what we’ll tell you, and there’s more on the wider market in our UK jet washing prices guide and on the difference in terms in pressure washing vs jet washing.

Can you do same-day pressure washing in Horley?

Often, yes. Horley is ten minutes down the A23 from our Redhill base, so RH6 is one of the fastest postcodes for us to reach and slots open up quickly. Selling the house or have a photographer booked? Call early and there is a fair chance we fit you in today or tomorrow. Worst case, a callback within two hours, Sundays included.

Which areas around Horley do you cover?

All of RH6: Horley town centre, the Westvale Park, Langshott and Meath Green estates, plus Hookwood, Charlwood, Smallfield and the Salfords edge, and the Gatwick-fringe commercial forecourts. We are based in Redhill and cover the rest of Surrey within 20 miles.

Do you clean patios, render and decking as well as driveways?

Yes. Driveways are the most-booked job in Horley, but we clean patios, block paving, render and timber or composite decking on the same visit. Render and painted walls get a low-pressure soft wash rather than high pressure, and bundling two surfaces on one trip is cheaper than two callouts.

Is there a hosepipe ban in Horley right now?

No. There is no hosepipe ban in force across Surrey as of 9 July 2026, and professional pressure washing is generally exempt from bans in any case. We also carry tanked water on bigger jobs, so your mains supply is not doing the heavy lifting. If you are not sure who supplies your water, it is on your bill.
