When you need soft wash, not pressure wash
Some surfaces just don’t take pressure. Render strips. Roof tiles lose their factory coating. UPVC cladding bruises. The right tool for those jobs is a low-pressure spray plus a specialist biocide that kills the algae and lichen at root level. The water is the rinse, not the cleaning agent. That’s why soft wash gives you 2–4 years of results where pressure wash gives you 6 months.
- Plants and garden protected before we start
- Specialist biocide applied at low pressure
- Dwell time so the biocide actually works
- Low-pressure rinse from top down
- Algae killed at root, not knocked off the surface
- Final garden rinse and full clear-up
What we soft wash
Render — K-Rend, silicone, acrylic, painted
The most common soft-wash job in Surrey. Manufacturer-recommended method on K-Rend and modern silicone render. See our render cleaning page for full pricing.
Pebbledash
The texture is exactly where lichen loves to grow. Biocide gets right into the dimples in a way pressure can’t.
Roof tiles & slate
Always soft wash on roofs — pressure strips the factory coating. See our roof cleaning page.
UPVC cladding & timber cladding
Pressure leaves marks on UPVC and raises grain on timber. Soft wash cleans without surface damage.
Brick & natural stone
For organic staining (algae, lichen, moss) on porous brick or stone. Won’t etch the surface.
